Female cave diving instructor Mexico

About training with me…

I am a passionate and active female cave diver and I have acquired experience in different countries and environments as well as exploration and scientific projects. I will be teaching independantly in Tulum starting 1st of December 2024.

My instruction transfers these learnings and experiences to students through stories, real life examples and practical application of techniques, all conducted in the Mexican cenotes in Tulum.

I believe that as a cave diving instructor my responsibility to you is to provide you with safe tools and techniques, and to build a mental preparedness to be able to solve problems, anticipate outcomes and take informed decisions once certified.

In training, you will make mistakes. In real life, you will too. I want to enable you to have a solid set of filters that will prevent those mistakes becoming an incident, and I want to see you being able to analyze your own mistakes, fix them, learn from them, and become a better diver, all in a supervised but natural diving environment.

If you are not sure we are a fit, feel free to message me and schedule a call to get to know each other, I can also recommend a better fit for your training if we do not decide to train together.

  • I teach Open Water Sidemount and Intro to Tec in Sidemount configuration.

I teach mainly on the XDeep harness but I have experience diving, adjusting and training Sidemount divers on other brands such as Apeks and Razor.

I am passionate about the details that diving Sidemount requires and I work extensively on teaching you the ins and outs of your harness so you do not only leave with a fully adjusted piece of gear but so that you can assemble a new harness from scratch, make further adjustments to your configuration and modify your gear according to your needs.

Average lenght of class: 5 days

*Please note that if you previously trained elsewhere the duration of the class will vary depending on starting level and experience.

  • This course can be taught in sidemount or backmount and it will teach you the use of redundant gas sources and the protocols to make diving them safe and fun.

After a successful Intro to Tec class you will be able to join higher levels of tech diving training such as cavern or full cave.

Average lenght of class: 5 days

*Please note that if you trained elsewhere the duration of the class will vary depending on starting level and experience.

  • Cavern training is the fundamental knowledge and building block of overhead training.

I conduct all my cavern courses in the Mexican cenotes which are shallow and have very little flow. This makes buoyancy and basik skills a challenge but also gives you higher level of mastery.

The limits of this level of traiing are:

1/6 of the gas for penetration

    200ft/60m distance from Open Water

    No restrictions

    Linear navigation

In a cavern diving class you will learn:

    -Safe cave diving practices

-International cave diving protocols and procedures

-Problem and failure solving in the overhead

    -Team diving and communication

    -Line laying and linear navigation

    -Zero visibility exits

    -Awareness and decision making

    -Mental abilities for the overhead

Average lenght of class: 5 days

    (Sidemount + Cavern = 9 days)

*Please note that if you trained elsewhere the duration of the class will vary depending on starting level and experience.

  • After Cavern training you can continue on to Intro to Cave.

The limits at this level are 1/6 of the gas for penetration.

    No restrictions.

    Linear navigation.

Intro to cave will allow you to penetrate the overhead environment further than the cavern level, maintaining a large gas reserve. This allows you to progress and enjoy caves while you build the mental readiness and experience necessary for Full Cave and its complexity.

The Intro to Cave class will teach you:

    -Lost Line protocols

    -Team separation protocols

Average lenght of class: 2 days

    (Sidemount + Cavern + Intro = 11 days)

*Please note that if you trained elsewhere the duration of the class will vary depending on starting level and experience.

  • The last of three blocks that can be taken together or separately, a Full Cave certification allows you to dive caves with:

    1/3 of gas for penetration

    Minor Restrictions

    Complex navigation (Intersections, Jumps, Circuits)

Average lenght of class 6 days

    (Sidemount + Cavern + Intro + Full = 16 days)

*Please note that if you trained elsewhere the duration of the class will vary depending on starting level and experience.

  • I have developed a set of techniques that improves stability on my students and which you will practice and master during the workshop, but you will also be able to take it home and practice on your own.

Together with the experience and knowledge that I have acquired through years of high level training and my own diving experience, I will adapt the program to your needs and goals, and will challenge you by taking you outside of your comfort zone, trying new things and finding where your true stability lies.

Stability workshops are recommended to be done in 2 days but we can work on the schedule that fits your needs. Please enquire about a program through the contact form.

  • Daily rates allow me to work in full flexibility with the student, move at their pace and avoid shortcuts.

Training does not mean obtaining a certification, in the same way as signing up for a class does not mean we will complete a class. As a new student starts training, an assessment is done, and we continue assessing the situation together at the end of each day. This way we make the most of our time together, advance your abilities and skills, and get you closer to your objectives every day.
