This is the list of equipment I use and recommend for divers training or looking for the best performing gear in cave and technical diving:
Lights:
SeaYa Underwater Lighting Systems
I use Li-Ion 24,15 Ah canister with LED 30W NARROW or LED 70W SPOT
I can also recommend Li-Ion 13,8 Ah canister.
I have used the sidemount, backmount and dual heads, feel free to enquire about their use and best choice through my contact form or social media channels.
Dive Computer:
I use Shearwater Research products.
For entry level technical diving:
Peregrine or Peregrine AI with Swift transmitters
For advanced technical diving:
My preferred choice is Perdix 2 AI with Swift transmitters, but I have done extensive diving without transmitters and with Perdix 1. I also recommend the Teric although the screen is smaller so it may be harder to see for some of us.
For CCR diving I recommend Petrel 3, plus Teric or Perdix 2 as a backup.
Primary reel:
Deep in The Dark primary is a custom made piece fabricated in the UK. Each reel is hand made and customized in color and size.
This brand has a small hand version of their primary reel which suits technical diving and is preferred by women with smaller hands.
Tank rigging system:
I recommend Dan Sun Titanium bands for tanks as they are light and sturdy.
Hose retainers:
I have worked with DLuxe DIve Gear since many years using their hose retainers extensively in many different harsh environments. The quality of their product and the customer service are above industry standard.
I recommend the EVO bands, you can ask for customization here!
You can also get high quality customized line cutters from them!
Sidemount System:
I have used XDeep Tec harness with Rec wing in all the technical diving I’ve done since 2018. I highly recommend
Underwater phone housing:
I have filmed with my iPhone in the ocean and caves down to 60m of depth, I enjoy using the DiveVolk which is a sturdy case that enables the full touch screen underwater. Check it out and get a discount here!
